In restrictive civic spaces, misinformation and disinformation threaten electoral integrity and weaken public trust. Marginalised groups — especially women, girls, and youth — are often excluded from meaningful participation, leaving their voices unheard in shaping democratic futures.
This initiative seeks bold civil society partners to counter false narratives, strengthen election monitoring, and mobilise inclusive civic engagement. Selected organisations will design fact-checking campaigns, deploy digital tools for transparency, and advocate for improved participation across communities. Activities will also include training observers, collaborating with social media platforms, and amplifying outreach through tailored messaging for vulnerable groups.
💡 Short-term grants available to support impactful digital democracy interventions in Zambia during the 2026 electoral period.
