Citizens across West Africa are demanding more inclusive, accountable, and resilient governance. This fund is designed to amplify their voices by supporting initiatives that expand civic space, strengthen institutions, and embed citizen perspectives into policy-making.
Projects may focus on multi-stakeholder dialogues, advocacy for institutional reform, innovative approaches to democratic outcomes, and youth-led civic participation. Collaboration between civil society, governments, and regional bodies is strongly encouraged to drive meaningful reforms and reinforce social contracts.
Eligible applicants include registered organizations in Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, and Togo, as well as regional networks. Proposals should demonstrate experience in governance-related work and capacity to manage large-scale grants.
