Across low- and middle-income countries, structural barriers continue to limit economic transformation, leaving millions trapped in cycles of poverty, inequality, and climate vulnerability. Understanding these systemic patterns is essential to shaping policies that drive sustainable and inclusive growth.
This funding call supports innovative research in economic transformation, labour markets, climate and environment, and gender inclusion. Proposals may focus on comparative studies, data collection, or the impacts of artificial intelligence and automation on growth trajectories. Special emphasis is placed on projects addressing challenges in Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as those exploring barriers to women’s participation in the workforce. Collaborative proposals across diverse income-level countries are strongly encouraged.
đź’ˇ Grants are available in the five-figure range (GBP), supporting research assistance, data collection, stipends, and fieldwork.
