Across the continent, vulnerable groups continue to face barriers in accessing justice for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. This intensive training responds to those gaps by equipping practitioners with practical litigation skills to challenge violations, strengthen accountability, and enforce remedies through national and regional human rights mechanisms.
Participants will gain expertise in strategic litigation, accountability mechanisms, and legal capacity building, while learning to identify cases, develop strategies, and engage effectively with adjudicatory bodies. Special focus is placed on protecting the rights of women, adolescents, persons with disabilities, LGBTIQ+ communities, sex workers, and rural populations facing intersecting discrimination.
Eligibility extends to legal practitioners, public interest litigators, civil society organizations, community advocates, researchers, and adjudicators engaged in SRHR advocacy and litigation. Applicants must demonstrate how the training will strengthen their institutional capacity and impact their communities.
