As the climate crisis intensifies, health systems face mounting pressures — from shifting mosquito‑borne disease patterns to extreme heat and worsening air quality. This opportunity supports bold innovations that transform climate risk data into timely health actions, strengthening local capacity to anticipate and respond to climate‑driven threats.
Transition to Scale proposals must show evidence of feasibility, effectiveness, and early impact. Selected innovators will receive support to validate health outcomes in the context of climate hazards, using stronger evaluation approaches. Solutions may include AI and digital health tools, climate‑responsive patient care, and continuity of care for vulnerable groups such as children, elderly populations, and pregnant women.
Funding is primarily through grants, with debt and equity investments considered depending on organizational type and sustainability plans. Investments range from USD 250,000 to USD 2,000,000 per innovation, supporting project periods of up to 24 months.
Eligible applicants include legally incorporated organizations such as NGOs, social enterprises, research institutions, and companies. Individuals and UN agencies are not eligible.
💡 Support available — multi‑stage investments to scale climate‑centred health innovations across Africa and Brazil.
