Food insecurity, unsafe value chains, and limited access to affordable healthy diets continue to challenge communities worldwide. This call seeks bold contributions that synthesize evidence, highlight policy outcomes, and showcase innovations that strengthen nutrition‑sensitive agriculture, improve food safety, and reduce foodborne disease.
Applicants are invited to provide research synthesis, bibliometric analysis, and case studies that demonstrate how data and interventions can scale impact. Contributions should address affordability metrics, consumer demand for nutrient‑dense foods, and pathways to strengthen local markets and surveillance systems.
The exercise is framed as a learning activity — not a formal evaluation — and aims to build a regional evidence base that informs agriculture and nutrition policy. Partnerships and consortia, especially those involving researchers in low‑ and middle‑income countries, are strongly encouraged to ensure inclusive leadership and diverse perspectives.
💡 Support available — project funding of approximately £85,000 to deliver high‑value research synthesis and policy impact analysis in food systems.
