Climbing connects people to nature — but without care, crags, trails, and fragile ecosystems risk being damaged beyond repair. Around the world, local communities are stepping up to safeguard climbing areas, restore habitats, and promote responsible recreation.
This grant call supports community-led projects that protect natural climbing environments, strengthen stewardship, and foster a culture of sustainability. Eligible initiatives may include trail restoration, crag cleanups, erosion mitigation, and stewardship education — all designed to ensure climbing thrives in harmony with nature.
Projects must be led by local climbing organizations outside the continental U.S. or by Indigenous communities within the U.S., with clear environmental outcomes and measurable impact.
📊 Support available — grants up to USD 1,000 for six‑month community stewardship projects.
