This funding opportunity is designed to enhance the technical backbone of the Worker‑Led Monitoring System (WLMS) by adapting and scaling open‑source tools like Uwazi and Tella. The goal is to ensure secure, multilingual, and user‑friendly systems that protect sensitive worker information while enabling effective case documentation, reporting, and analysis.
Projects can focus on technical architecture optimisation, secure workflows, role‑based access, interoperability, multilingual interfaces, and long‑term sustainability strategies. Importantly, all improvements must remain open‑source and compatible with CIR hosting arrangements, ensuring transparency and safeguarding.
Eligible applicants include non‑profit technical organisations, digital rights groups, civil society technology organisations, research institutes, and labour rights organisations with proven expertise in secure data systems and open‑source development. The initiative primarily supports civil society actors, trade unions, and migrant support organisations working in garment supply chains across Brazil, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Türkiye, and Vietnam.
💡 Grants provide up to €60,000 for technical development and optimisation projects.
