Across Africa’s rapidly growing cities, climate change and biodiversity loss are intensifying pressures on communities. From water scarcity in arid regions to rising flood risks, the need for scalable, nature‑based solutions has never been greater.
This call supports proven and promising projects that harness the power of nature to strengthen resilience. Eligible themes include urban forests, wetlands restoration, mangroves, green-blue infrastructure, and peri-urban agroforestry. Priority is given to projects addressing water‑stressed cities, ecosystem restoration, and those integrating digital tools such as IoT sensors, remote sensing, or AI‑driven monitoring.
Selected initiatives will be documented as case studies, featured on a continental knowledge platform, showcased at major global climate and biodiversity events, and connected directly with investors and development finance institutions. Successful applicants will also receive investment readiness support, peer‑learning opportunities, and matchmaking with climate funds and private investors.
💡 Projects requiring USD 50,000–2,000,000 in external investment are eligible for inclusion in the investment pipeline.
