Civil society organizations are at the heart of global development, driving local solutions that build resilience and foster inclusion. The Agence Française de Développement (AFD) annual call supports CSOs through direct project financing, empowering them to advance the Sustainable Development Goals and strengthen international solidarity.
This opportunity is open to French CSOs and locally governed CSOs in DAC‑eligible countries, with priority given to Least Developed Countries and those most vulnerable to climate change. Projects in France may also be eligible under specific programs focused on global citizenship and civil society capacity building.
Applicants must demonstrate prior experience, having successfully completed a project financed by an AFD Group entity or a French embassy, and meet the criteria regarding the source and amount of previous funding.
