Rare diseases like TANGO2 Deficiency Disorder urgently need fresh ideas and dedicated researchers to drive progress. This grant supports pilot studies and innovative projects that advance translational research, clinical care, and patient‑centered outcomes for the TDD community.
Awardees will receive up to USD 15,000 for one year of research, plus an additional USD 1,000 travel stipend to present findings at scientific or medical meetings. Beyond funding, the program fosters mentorship, collaboration, and professional development, helping build a global network of emerging TDD investigators.
Eligibility is open worldwide to undergraduate and graduate students, medical trainees, postdocs, residents, fellows, and early‑career investigators within 10 years of their doctoral degree or within 5 years of starting rare disease research. Transitional applicants beginning postdoctoral appointments by July 2026 are also welcome. Applications from underrepresented groups and researchers outside the U.S. are strongly encouraged.
