Across Africa, climate change, migration, and fragile food systems are reshaping communities and livelihoods. Researchers are urgently needed to drive climate‑smart agriculture, strengthen natural resource management, and advance renewable energy solutions that protect both people and the environment.
This fellowship supports PhD‑level scholars in Nigeria to lead independent research, mentor early‑career scientists, and design innovative programs in agriculture, environment, and livelihoods. Fellows benefit from monthly allowances, accommodation, training, and opportunities to publish with leading international partners. Collaboration with global institutions ensures exposure to cutting‑edge research and capacity‑building opportunities.
Eligibility requires demonstrated research leadership, proposal‑writing skills, and affiliation with a Nigerian university or research institution. Female researchers are strongly encouraged to apply, with placements beginning in mid‑2026.
💡 Support available — monthly allowance, accommodation, training, and international collaboration opportunities for selected fellows.
