Across Africa, millions of farmers face declining soil fertility and nutrient gaps that threaten harvests, livelihoods, and resilience. Without urgent innovation and outreach, the continent risks falling behind in its fight for food security and climate‑smart agriculture.
This fellowship supports scientists, educators, and extension specialists to design creative outreach projects that accelerate the adoption of best practices in soil fertility management. Priority areas include nutrient stewardship, water management innovations, precision farming, soil diagnostics, and farmer‑led on‑farm solutions. Evidence of collaboration and partnerships is highly valued, and women candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Applicants must be full‑time professionals working in African research institutions, universities, NGOs, or the private sector. The fellowship is designed to bridge knowledge gaps, strengthen farmer engagement, and promote sustainable agricultural practices that build resilience and improve nutrition.
💡 Support includes two‑year fellowships with funding for impactful outreach and innovation projects.
