Across Africa, small and medium agribusinesses hold the key to food security, climate resilience, and job creation — yet many struggle to access affordable finance and meet compliance standards. This initiative is designed to strengthen institutional capacity, helping enterprises adopt sustainable business practices, integrate digital solutions, and prepare bankable green investment proposals that attract private capital.
Through blended finance and technical assistance, selected firms will provide support to agribusiness SMEs in areas such as regulatory compliance, product certification, licensing, and market entry readiness. By unlocking affordable medium‑term finance and strengthening operational systems, the programme aims to stimulate economic growth, retain agricultural wealth locally, and accelerate adoption of green and circular economy principles.
Eligible firms must demonstrate at least five years of experience supporting SMEs with certification, compliance, and market access, and have multidisciplinary teams capable of guiding enterprises through Uganda’s regulatory environment.
💡 Support available — 12‑month contracts to deliver technical assistance for agribusiness SMEs, advancing sustainable finance and compliance readiness.
