Across refugee settlements and host communities, thousands of adolescents remain out of school, facing compounded risks of poverty, displacement, and exclusion. Without urgent action, these young people risk losing not only their education but also their chance to build secure futures.
This initiative invests in accelerated education programmes that help adolescents aged 10–19 return to learning, acquire foundational literacy and numeracy, and develop life skills. It prioritizes equity and inclusion, ensuring girls, adolescent mothers, learners with disabilities, refugees, and marginalized groups can access opportunities tailored to their needs. For those unable to re‑enter formal schooling, alternative pathways into skills development and livelihoods are supported.
Beyond classrooms, the programme strengthens national and district education systems, builds teacher and stakeholder capacity, and engages families and communities to break down barriers to learning. Evidence from implementation will inform broader education policy, creating systemic change.
💡 Significant support available — up to USD 1.5 million over two years, reaching thousands of out‑of‑school adolescents.
