Environmental crime — from illegal wildlife trade to unsustainable exploitation — continues to devastate ecosystems and communities worldwide. Yet effective interventions require stronger evidence and deeper understanding of the challenges at hand. This funding call supports projects that generate critical data and insights to design smarter, more impactful solutions.
Proposals may focus on reducing demand for illegal products, strengthening law enforcement, improving legal frameworks, or developing sustainable livelihoods for affected communities. Priority is given to underrepresented issues and innovative approaches, such as market research to inform demand‑reduction strategies. Evidence projects are expected to lay the groundwork for future interventions, testing, and scaling.
💡 Support available — grants from £20,000 to £150,000 for projects lasting up to two years.
