The climate crisis is reshaping human health — intensifying mosquito‑borne diseases, worsening air quality, and driving extreme heat events that disproportionately affect vulnerable populations. This funding call seeks bold innovations that help local health actors anticipate and respond to these risks by integrating climate data with health systems, strengthening early warning tools, and delivering climate‑responsive patient care.
Support is directed toward Proof of Concept solutions — field‑based pilots that test new ideas and evaluate readiness for scale. Projects may include forecasting mosquito ecology shifts, improving surveillance for malaria and dengue, or designing triage and treatment systems resilient to heat and poor air quality.
Eligible applicants are legally incorporated organizations in Africa or Brazil, including NGOs, social enterprises, research institutions, and companies. Individuals and UN agencies are not eligible.
Funding provides up to USD 200,000 per innovation for 18–24 months, enabling local actors to convert climate risk information into timely health actions.
💡 Support available — seed investments for climate‑smart health innovations tackling mosquito‑borne diseases, heat, and air pollution.
