Applicants must have their dissertation topic approved and be in the process of writing, with awards supporting projects across diverse disciplines. Beyond the core funding, proposals are automatically considered for special honors: the Trustees’ Award for groundbreaking methodology and the Irving Louis Horowitz Award for the most outstanding overall project.
