As artificial intelligence advances, urgent questions arise: Can AI systems develop consciousness? What moral status should digital minds hold? How do we govern technologies that may one day challenge our definitions of sentience and responsibility?
This fellowship supports research and career development in AI sentience, digital consciousness, and AI governance. Fellows explore technical, philosophical, legal, and social dimensions of advanced AI, while receiving mentorship, networking opportunities, and access to computational resources. Career pathways into high‑impact organizations are also supported, alongside participation in the annual Mind, Ethics, and Policy Summit.
Applicants may include graduate students, researchers, policy professionals, nonprofit founders, legal experts, and participants in AI safety programs. Strong prior engagement with digital minds and a clear fellowship plan are essential. Preference is given to those for whom funding is critical to pursue this work.
💡 Support available — stipends adjusted for duration and experience, plus mentorship, research support, and global networking opportunities.
