In today’s world, Buddhist studies are expanding beyond monasteries into global academic spaces, creating new opportunities for dialogue, research, and community engagement. Yet many institutions still lack the resources to build strong academic frameworks that connect tradition with contemporary discourse.
This funding call is designed to strengthen Buddhist study and research at the university and graduate levels, while supporting outreach initiatives that engage students, communities, and the public. It encourages collaboration through sponsorships and partnerships, fostering well-rounded scholars who can bridge ancient wisdom with modern challenges.
Eligible applicants include universities and academic institutions proposing initiatives in Buddhist research, teaching, and outreach. Individual applications, conferences, construction projects, and administrative costs are not supported.
