Across the continent, young scholars and faculty are stepping forward to address urgent challenges of conflict, governance, and sustainable development. Yet many lack structured opportunities to combine academic excellence with practical policy engagement and leadership training.
This fully funded fellowship empowers emerging African leaders to advance peacebuilding, policy analysis, and development studies. Over 18 months, fellows will pursue advanced study, conduct research, and engage in institutional exchanges across Africa and the UK. The program integrates mentoring, simulation practices, and peer learning to prepare participants for impactful roles in peace and security policy processes.
Fellows will spend time at leading academic institutions, contribute to teaching and research in African universities, and produce policy briefs that inform regional and global discussions. The initiative emphasizes African‑led solutions, capacity building, and collaborative leadership.
💡 Support available — tuition, living costs, research expenses, and travel fully covered for selected fellows.
