As climate risks intensify, water utilities need actionable tools to ensure reliable service and protect communities. This project seeks to advance the integration of climate resilience metrics into water supply planning, helping utilities adapt decision‑making processes to shifting conditions.
The initiative will catalog existing performance metrics, assess their sensitivity under climate change, and identify adjustments or alternatives for resilience‑based planning. Guidance will be developed to support utilities in embedding these metrics into both planning and operations, ensuring decisions are robust, context‑specific, and future‑ready.
Eligible applicants include educational institutions, research organizations, governmental agencies, consultants, and other for‑profit entities worldwide. Proposals must demonstrate scientific rigor, practical applicability, and compliance with WRF’s timeliness requirements.
💡 Grants available up to USD 250,000 for 18‑month projects on climate resilience in water utilities.
