Nearly half the world’s population now lives in cities, where access to health, work, safety, and civic participation defines opportunity. This initiative supports bold projects that harness artificial intelligence to improve public services for vulnerable and underserved communities — aiming to reach up to 100 million urban residents worldwide.
Applicants can apply through two tracks: Seed, for early concepts ready for a first city pilot, or Scale, for solutions already tested with initial results. Focus areas include public health, economic mobility, environmental resilience, and civic engagement (excluding voting or election-related projects). Selected grantees receive not only funding but also mentorship, peer-learning cohorts, and technical support to refine and expand their solutions.
💡 Grants range from $500,000 to $2 million over 24 months, with milestone-based disbursement.
