Climate change is already driving profound economic and social impacts across Kenya, yet many losses — from livelihoods to ecosystems — remain under-documented and under-valued in national planning. Without robust data and analysis, governments and communities struggle to design effective strategies for resilience and recovery.
This initiative seeks partners to deliver a comprehensive assessment of economic and non-economic loss and damage from 2015–2025, while developing scenarios up to 2035. Selected organisations will build national and community capacities to measure impacts, integrate findings into policies, and empower local actors to communicate priorities and funding needs. The work will directly inform Kenya’s climate policy, planning, and investment strategies, aligning with the Santiago Network mandate to catalyze technical assistance for vulnerable countries.
💡 Grants available up to $700,000 for NGOs, academic institutions, research bodies, UN entities, and intergovernmental organisations with proven expertise in climate adaptation and policy engagement.
