Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) and Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG) remain among the most urgent challenges in pediatric oncology. This grant program is designed to support innovative research approaches that can fundamentally change how these tumors are understood, detected, or treated.
Proposals may come from individual investigators or collaborative, multi-institutional teams, with a designated Principal Investigator. The funded research must take bold, innovative approaches to tumorigenesis or therapeutic strategies, aiming to accelerate progress toward effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
💡 Grants provide up to $600,000 over three years (maximum $200,000 per year), awarded directly to institutions or laboratories. Continuation into the second and third years depends on interim progress reviews demonstrating satisfactory advancement and appropriate budget use.
Eligibility requires the PI to hold an M.D. and/or Ph.D., be employed by an academic or nonprofit research institution, and submit only one application per cycle. International applicants are welcome, but overlap with other funding cycles or grants is not permitted.
