Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) and Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG) remain among the most devastating pediatric brain tumors, with urgent need for deeper understanding and new treatment pathways. This grant program supports early-career investigators committed to tackling these challenges through innovative, evidence-based research.
Funding provides up to $400,000 over three years (maximum $135,000 in any single year), awarded directly to institutions or laboratories. Grants prioritize new investigators within six years of their first independent faculty appointment, though researchers beyond that window may apply if they are new to DIPG/DMG studies. International applicants are welcome, provided they hold academic appointments at accredited institutions.
Projects must adhere to strict standards of scientific rigor, with annual continuation contingent on progress reports and appropriate budget use. Overlap with other funding cycles is not permitted, and applicants may only submit one proposal per cycle.
💡 This opportunity is designed to accelerate discovery, build capacity among emerging researchers, and move closer to effective treatments for DIPG/DMG.
