Poor sanitation continues to undermine public health, dignity, and resilience in vulnerable communities. Without strong governance and sustainable financing, families face preventable diseases, unsafe environments, and limited opportunities for long-term wellbeing.
This initiative supports community-driven sanitation governance, sustainable financing, and behaviour change to strengthen local ownership and accountability. Designed through a participatory process involving women, youth, and traditional leaders, the project empowers communities to lead sanitation improvements, improve access to services, and build resilience against future challenges. The model demonstrates how collective action can transform public health outcomes while reinforcing trust and local capacity.
đź’ˇ The pilot initiative requires investment in the six-figure range (USD equivalent) to support implementation across multiple communities over 18 months.
